Job Description
Introduction
The SharePoint Specialist, under the general supervision of the Communications Lead, creates, designs, maintains and assists in the creation of the GlobalFoundries IT organization’s affiliated project and program SharePoint portals. This role will partner with leaders, the communications specialist, change managers and projects managers to ensure SharePoint content is consistently updated and engages the target audiences.
Your Job
Expected activities in this role include the following:
Responsible for the ongoing management, creation, and production of content for multipleSharePoint program/project portals, including updates and management of content fordepartment portal.
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the content strategy for GFIT and affiliated project and program portals.
Identify opportunities to leverage SharePoint sitesin a way that contributes to the business objectives
Workcollaboratively with appropriate stakeholders to develop targeted content that is simple, clear, relevant and illustrate plans to support the business initiatives. Ensure content conveys the value and ‘what’s in it for me’ for the audience.
Develop sites following company brand guidelines
Increase site traffic (viewers) and program awareness by curating creative, inclusive content and designing visual content that attracts viewers and is clear.
Empowers people to have a proactive mindset in preparing for adoption of changethrough high-quality and engaging content
LeadSharePoint portalwork from conception to completion.
Responsible for overseeing SharePoint site permissions and ensuring that the individuals and groups only have access to sites/information that they need to for their job role (need-to-know basis).
Assist GF IT with SharePoint questions and knowledge transfers whenever ownership changes or appropriate. SharePoint is supported through GF IT Operations.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in marketing/ web design
1 year experience in supporting role
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships
Excellent organizational and planning skills
In-depth knowledge of M365 and SharePoint specifically
Experience in producing content for internal company sites
Providehigh level of attention to detail and accuracy; able to self-edit and proofread.
Preferred Qualifications
2 Years of Hands-On Experience
Experience with a wide range of digital content channels and tools.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
