Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary
Analyzes business requirements/functional designs to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Designs software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, create, and modify computer applications software and analyze user needs, and develop software solutions. Duties include

  • Analyze business requirements/functional designs to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

  • Designs software systems

  • Review, analyze, and give feedback on requirements/functional designs

  • Attend and engage in requirement definition meetings

  • Participate and lead architectural review process

  • Design for large enhancements, projects, and cross system/functional enhancements

  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical leadership

  • Develop and maintain code for large enhancements, projects, and integrations

  • Fix defects and participate and conduct peer code review

  • Follow and propose design and coding standards and processes

  • Provide technical leadership to team members

  • Conduct code performance analysis, tuning, and review

  • Develop unit and cross-functional tests, develop test strategies, execute test cases, log issues, manage issues, recommend testing frameworks, record and run automated test scripts, and design automated test script

Qualifications

  • 13+ years of hands-on experience in large and complex Oracle CPQ engagements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field highly preferred

  • Analyze current business processes, gather complex business requirements, prepare design and provide robust and scalable solutions

  • Oracle CPQ Configuration/BML Development knowledge to meet documented business process requirements

  • Develop and support Configuration, Commerce, integrations, reports, workflow, BML and custom development in a CPQ environment

  • Working knowledge on complex product hierarchy and pricing models

  • Expertise in BOM, System Configuration, ABO and Integrations

  • Good knowledge in REST APIs, CSS, Java Script and XSL

  • Experience in handling CPQ Migrations and release upgrades

  • Better understanding of CPQ standard methodologies and addressing performance related issues

  • Should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the system issues within given SLAs

  • Playing a meaningful role in testing, evaluating and delivering high quality end product

  • Sound knowledge in Quote to Cash process

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of people in different time zones (Business, onsite and offshore teams)

  • Excellent Communication and documentation skills

  • Oracle CPQ certification is preferred
