​Senior Staff, Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

Analyzes business requirements/functional designs and works with business teams, BSAs, and other engineers to design systems and application software, mentor junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis

  • Reviews, analyzes and gives feedback on requirements/functional designs


Software/Application Architecture

  • Participates in architectural review process

Software Design

  • Designs for larger enhancements and projects

  • Conducts peer design reviews


Development/Coding

  • Develops and maintains code for larger enhancements, projects and integrations

  • Fixes defects and participates and conducts peer code review

  • Follows design and coding standards and processes

  • Conducts code performance analysis and tuning


Application QA

  • Develops unit and multi-functional tests, develops test strategies, implements test cases, logs issues, handles issues, recommends testing frameworks and records and runs automated test scripts


DevOps

  • Defines deployment and release guidelines

  • Defines and implements environment planning and cross-functional dependencies

  • Documents the software configuration management practices and educates multi-functional partners on the process and tools


Software Reliability & Support Engineering

  • Captures, consolidates and maintains inventory of production applications, flows and systems for all the software engineering verticals

  • Helps in preparing application support documentation

  • Fixes basic application issues with the help of knowledge base documents


Reporting

  • Status reporting, release management progress updates


Technical Project Management

  • Provides level of effort (LOE)

  • Manages assigned development tasks to schedule/plan


Qualifications

  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent

  • Full Stack expertise in cloud-based application developmentwith in-depth knowledge of Java/JavaScript eco-system

  • Hands-on experience withUI technologiessuch as HTML, CSS, JavaScript,ReactJS.

  • Hands-on experience with frameworks and tools including Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA, Junit, NodeJS, Express & SQL/PLSQL, GitHub andKafka

  • Hands-on experience withJava (11.0), J2EE and Spring bootwith microservice architecture.

  • Hands-on experience withpublic cloud such as AWS/GCP/Azure

  • Hands-on experience withK8S, dockerand a good understanding of virtualization technologies

  • Experience with CI/CD automation tools likeJenkins

  • Experience working with fault-tolerant and highly available distributed systems

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing high-availability and high throughput micro-services, SOA based applications and cloud-based services

  • Solid knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns.

  • Agile-scrum methodology experience in a software development team

  • Experience and knowledge of REST API development

  • Hands-on experience in using RDBMS databases like Postgres, Oracle and No-SQL databases like Cassandra, MongoDB

  • Experience in AI and ML is added advantage

  • Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
