Senior Business Systems Analyst - EPM

About the Group

Enterprise Applications -The corporate team at Equinix focuses on implementing the next-generation software applications for Equinix to scale and support Equinix's internal ecosystems.

About the Position

As Senior Business Analyst in the Corporate application division, you would be working on some of our latest ventures to Support and Enhance pioneering SaaS business applications. You will be helping us with coordination, documentation, test execution, conducting POC, post-production maintenance, and support of the Oracle Cloud SaaS enterprise application production support and continuous improvement of the application landscape.

This position acts as a critical liaison between the company’s financial functions including Corporate Controllership, Regional Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Business Assurance, and the IT organization.

Job Responsibilities

1. Business Support:

  • Provides first-line support to users of financial applications.

  • Responding to business user queries

  • Providing one-on-one support, explanations, and mentorship to users regarding finance operations

  • Prioritizing data issues, process issues, and business user errors.

  • Liaise with IT and business users to define and prioritize business-related issues associated with systems.

  • Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood.

2. Take the lead role in:

  • Assisting with case

  • Planning and monitoring

  • Eliciting requirements

  • Requirements organization

  • Translating and simplifying requirements

  • Requirements management and communication

  • Requirement analysis

3. Business Requirements Analysis:

  • Partners with business customers to analyze, define and document business requirements, within and across functions.

  • Drives standard methodologies during requirements capturing and modelling.

  • Has a solid focus on capturing core requirements, beyond stated requirements and correctly placing these within a broader context?

  • Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business partners.

4. Stakeholder Management:

  • Manages customer expectations and communications within and beyond the functional track.

  • Knows business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct collaborator.

  • Interacts regularly with senior management-level collaborators and demonstrates value from realized projects.

5.Solution Design:

  • Responsible for designing and documenting multi-functional and global solutions, drawing on the functional expertise of functional and technical team members or vendors, as appropriate.

  • Advises on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions good design practice.

  • Partners with business collaborators to analyze, define, and document business processes within and across functional areas.

  • Drives standard methodologies during requirements gathering and modeling.

  • Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business partners.

6.Documentation:

  • Documents and reviews broader team documentation

  • Supports the team in identifying and defining relevant documentation templates pertaining to solution delivery.

  • Is a champion for knowledge transfer to enable/empower other team members?

7.Functional Design:

  • Develop functional designs for applications, integrations, and conversions.

  • Ability to work on multiple functional areas and integrations with third-party products.

  • Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs.

  • Reviews functional designs and obtains signoff with the multi-functional business and IT teams.

  • Provides inputs into business processes based on design capabilities.

  • Champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs

  • Learn and adapt to new technologies in a short duration.

8.Testing & Test Design:

  • Implement System integration testing.

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for new systems or enhancement releases. This involves assistance with the creation of test cases and follow-up to ensure users complete testing per the schedule.

  • Coordinates integration testing validates test cases with partners for user acceptance testing and training and obtains signoff.

  • Coordinates defects clarification, triage, and coordinate resolution with engineering teams.

  • Performs Mock close on financial systems.

9. System Configurations:

  • Configures applications in line with business goals.

  • Designs forward-looking configurations by recognizing future needs aligned with the business roadmap.

  • Develop configuration standards.

10. Day to Day Support (Production Support):

  • Supports and trains junior resources and supervises quality in triage and solve practices.

  • Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with multi-functional teams through the resolution.

  • Identifies improvements to address repeat issues.

11.Training and Organizational Change:

  • Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities.

  • Defines, communicates, and implements support and engagement plans.

  • Analyzes adoption rates and issues assesses case realization and proposes solutions to improve.

  • Provides ad hoc training to various financial users on key financial applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field.

  • 9+ years of demonstrated ability and meaningful experience of 5 years working for Oracle EPM application Modules within the finance or IT organization of a large multinational company

  • Worked as Senior Systems Analyst, Senior Consultant, or Support Analyst for Oracle Fusion EPM application modules.

  • Hands-on experience in configuring, scripting, and testing for EPM Cloud application implementation and maintenance.

  • Years of knowledge in Planning, Budgeting, and forecasting modules

  • Worked in most of the Oracle fusion EPM applications primarily on PBCS, PCMCS, and TRCS. Worked on other related EPM applications like FCCS, ARCS and EDMCS

  • Worked with an onshore delivery leads and support team.

  • Have in-depth finance functional knowledge to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Flexible to work on a rotating shift model to support EMEA and AMER, timezone customers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Willingness to travel occasionally if needed.

  • Preference to computer science, mathematics, Accounting, and related fields of study.
