Job Description

At Jacobs, our Power Solutions team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space.  We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.

As a Renewable Section Lead, you will be working with the integral member of the team, within the Asia Energy and Power group, however, works with other sections and regions as required. You will contribute to business planning for section and area and participates in strategic decision making, may lead a small team, including managing the project team and subcontractors as required; determining the resources required to complete the project, and assigning roles and responsibilities in collaboration with operations managers.

The Renewable Section Lead will be the key point of contact for the client and monitor all the work being conducted; manage all non-conformity issues, document these issues and initiate corrective action plans. He/She will be supported by a team of Lead Engineers across the various engineering HSSE and contract disciplines; initiate project start-up requirements where required, develop & implement project plans & monitoring progress in respect of time, costs & quality and lead initiatives in team culture, continuous performance improvement, and learning and development.

Here's What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Chartered Status (preferred). Experience as Project Director/ Project Manager/ Construction Manager. Previous experience working for a Consultant on an Owners Engineer project will be a distinct advantage.

Significant experience with Renewable or Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power generating technology. Strong managerial and leadership skills. Broad technical knowledge and hands on approach, Advanced Understanding of a wide range of contract execution approaches, including EPC, EPCM, D&C, BOOT, PPAs, etc and their applicable project phases and management.

Advanced understanding of commercial terms involved on EPC and EPCM projects. Thorough understanding key business drivers and of all functions on large scale EPC and EPCM contracts
