We would like to welcome a Principal/Lead Coastal Engineer to join our Water business in Singapore, as part of our commitment to dealing with climate change. The role will be mainly responsible for carrying out the study and design of coastal protection measures including coordination, consultation, and liaison with the relevant authorities to obtain all necessary statutory approvals for the study.

  • Technical leadership and quality and excellence of project deliverables

  • Technical and professional guidance, support, and development of more junior engineers and technicians

  • Communication with clients and other design team members

  • Inter-discipline and inter-office project planning, delivery, and financial performance

  • Liaison with internal clients to develop relationships across the business, and with external clients where required

  • Work within established quality management systems, in particular ensuring compliance with technical governance arrangements

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To be a successful candidate you shall possess: 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a Coastal related discipline recognized by Singapore Professional Engineers Board

  • A registered Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer of the Civil or Coastal Engineering

  • Relevant experience in Coastal projects with ability in coastal engineering design such as sea walls, earth bunds, revetments, etc

  • Knowledge of issues related to climate change, related to extreme rainfall, sea level rise, and storm surges arising from climate change

  • Familiarity with the design principles of multi-functional flood protections structure, design with nature/hybrid measures, and other innovative coastal protection strategies
