Job Description

Introduction

GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) / engineer to address integration and device questions for a wide range of logic and memory technologies. This person will focus upon use of commercial TCAD tools for guiding device and integration optimization.

Your Job

  • TCAD support to both bulk and SOI technologies, from 180nm to 22nm node, at both low and high voltages. Basic Id-Vg & Id-Vd, Cov, breakdown, electrostatic discharge, RF characteristics, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).

  • Familiarity with monte carlo simulation

  • Stress simulations for continuous and discontinuous active areas, and how stress affects device performance.

  • Anticipate integration/process issues, based on provided information from integration, process or design enablement teams

  • Facilitate discussion with originating team to identify simulations that highlight critical process interactions and drive optimal technology decisions

  • Apply commercial simulation software to mimic semiconductor process flows and highlight the area of concern.

  • Extensive interaction with integration, device, and design engineers to assure development of a working technology

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years or Master's with 3 years of relevant experience. PhD with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Semiconductor TCAD and/or process modeling experience

  • Solid understanding of semiconductor processes and integration techniques Good computer / software skills

  • Ability to clearly present results to small and large groups
