Why This Role

As the ideal candidate, you will leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving ability and play a vital role to fuel our growth in Process Engineering.  Your role will span across existing and new Fabs, improving processes and thereby wafer yields, increasing manufacturing productivity and lowering cost that are key to achieving Fab excellence. You will provide technical leadership, guidance advice and innovative solutions for new/complex process challenges and have the opportunity to become SME (subject matter expert) of your department. Training, coaching and mentoring engineers will also be part of your job responsibilities.

What You Will Do

  • Lead Dept. programs/activities (like Recipe Management System / Advanced Process Control system) to uphold quality, process stability and improve cost and work efficiency.

  • Innovate with I4.0 automation for CIP (continuous improvement projects) on new/existing processes and programs in Dept.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in driving Fab/Dept. CIP to improve performance indices, cost and tool capacity thru –

    • Innovate, develop and characterize new/existing technology insertion to improve process robustness, design for Manufacturing and achieve technology milestones.

    • Improve process performance indices adopting big data analytic, statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies

    • Lead cross functional teams, cross fabs and OEM suppliers for BKM (best known method) convergence on recipes, material, method, and I4.0 automation, and resolving complex integration issue

  • Lead and drive company's production ramp schedule by process qualification, productivity improvement and new tool release.

  • Train, coach and guide engineers on advanced process technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, risk assessment and decision making.

  • Opportunities for job rotation and overseas assignment.

  • Opportunities to file patents, author technical papers for publication and present at local or overseas seminars.

What You Will Need

  • MS/BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Chemistry & Physics with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Diploma candidates with minimum 8 years of work experience in similar role.

  • Proven capability in dealing with complexity, ability to utilize resources to efficiently problem solve and provide clear guidance on critical decisions.

  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

  • A track record of performance excellence and recognized as having successful leadership characteristics both in present and past career.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter. Demonstrated ability to use these attributes on conflict resolution.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-layered team that encompasses a variety of discipline and influence by direct or indirect leadership.

  • Strong technical depth and having patents and papers publication is a plus.
