We would like to welcome a licensed Managing Architect to the Japan team, with the following responsibilities:
Manage the licensing application process and future compliance with applicable regulations to maintain the licenses.
The Managing Architect will lead a team of both in-house architects and sub-consultant architects to develop the design and subcontract package relevant to architecture as per schedule while meeting expectations on budget and cost-saving potential
Engage and facilitate interface with client to review the design, understand the user requirement basis
Be the Qualified Architect who will provide the authority submission, to capture all of the regulatory aspects of the design
Support management of technical interfaces within the program, particularly in the identification, tracking, and resolution of all critical key technical interfaces and ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner;
Provide ‘second opinion’, appraisal, diagnosis by knowledgeable and recognized professional in respect to technical and interface issues;
Ensure adequate consideration of Buildability / Constructability / Maintainability by reviewing and evaluating the reports provided by the consultant and contracts;
Support the Client in preparation and review of documents as required by client and external governance arrangements. This includes rationalizing scope, cost and schedule, and options selections.
Support review of tender returns, and any early contractor involvement to inform tender evaluations and award recommendations.
Working together with the client in reviewing, responding to all discipline-related Request for Approval (RFAs), Request for Information (RFIs), etc.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
To be a successful candidate you shall possess:
A Japanese registered class 1 license
Minimum 10 years of relevant architecture experience in Japan.
Excellent command of spoken and written Japanese with the ability to communicate in English.
Capable to produce clear and concise presentation material
