We are seeking a reliable individual to ensure Trade Desk’s international payroll process is executed flawlessly and will scale with the growth of our business. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor to Trade Desk’s international Payroll team. This role is based in our Shanghai office and reports into the Director, Global Payroll.

What you will do

  • Overseeing the monthly APAC region payroll functions to ensure that all payroll related tasks are delivered to deadlines. Providing support to the EMEA payroll team where required.

  • Audit and validate all payroll submission data for accuracy and reasonableness

  • Accurately process compensation related to employee equity

  • Review draft payroll reports before sign-off with payroll specialist and managing month-end activities to specific deadlines

  • Responsible for payroll funding preparation for each country

  • Prepare payroll flux workbooks and performing controls in accordance with SOX framework

  • Collaborate with cross functional partners such as HR, Compensation and Benefits, and Workday HRIS

  • Be subject matter expert for payroll and point of contact for escalations

  • Develop ad-hoc payroll reporting as needed

  • Support the payroll director in designing consistent and streamlined processes across regions.

Who you are

  • A proven track record of multi country payroll processing experience, including setting up new country payrolls

  • Current experience with Workday HCM/ CloudPay payroll system beneficial

  • Demonstrate leadership skills

  • Extensive knowledge of payroll principles and best practices

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform detailed payroll calculations

  • Possess clear understanding of taxation of employer provided benefits

  • Experience with reporting employee equity compensation beneficial

  • Possess an aptitude for customer service

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel/Word)

  • Experience working for a US publicly held company under SOX compliance beneficial

  • CIPP is a plus.
