Manager, Operations Compliance

Job Summary

The Manager, Operations Compliance is a  true people manager level where experienced leadership is required for leading a team to meet schedules and goals while working in a multi-faceted environment. Leads a team of Operations Compliance professionals, ensuring they meet schedules and goals effectively while working in a multifaceted Data Center environment. Partners with Senior Management to execute strategy and programs in sites within scope. Acts as a subject matter expert for compliance subjects assigned. Establishes strong working links with regional operational representatives and management. 

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for ensuing the secure integrity of 18 data centres (Data Center) across Australia.  

  • Supports Operations Director in liaising with key Government agencies and clients  

  • Supports customers in ensuring key physical security requirements are met 

  • Key account manager for guarding and electronic security contracts, ensuring KPIs are delivered. 

  • Leads a team dedicated to specific geographic locations and responsible for allocated security portfolio’s. 

  • Oversees the delivery and performance of all physical security treatments.  

  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement. 

  • Supports security audits (internal and external) across all sites.  

  • Assist sales with security and compliance responses to customers. 

  • Maintain security-related documents such as SOPs and directions.  

  • Liaises with design and construction team on new builds.  

  • Assist in the design and delivery of ISMS Training and Awareness programs across the Australian business groups; 

  • Ensure security controls are implemented; 

  • Interact with clients and stakeholders to build and maintain positive relationships. 

  • Provide proactive and effective leadership to all site staff that enables a cohesive and positive working environment and ensures a high level of staff satisfaction 

  • Acknowledge, advise, administer and enforce all Equinix Security Policies 

  • Assist in attaining and maintaining of other standards, accreditations or certifications as adopted for use by Equinix Australia. 

  • Review regional and global documentation in line with Australian standards and update when necessary. 

Qualifications

  • Hold at a minimum, an NV1 security clearance, or be able to attain it within 6 months of commencing (Australian Citizens ONLY) 

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to deal with stakeholders in all business units 

  • High level of communication both verbal and written 

  • Hold a degree or similar in a security / management related field 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an equivalent role 

  • A minimum 2 years’ experience in management of a mission critical facility  

  • Experience in managing or supervising subcontractors 

  • Be able to undertake frequent domestic travel  

  • Experience in leading teams 

  • Compliance experience, especially associated with ISO270001 and 22301 

  • Experience in dealing with government agencies and customers. 

  • Operations centre experience (e.g. security or integrated operations centres)
