Our Singapore office would like to welcome an Instrumentation Controls and Automation (ICA) Engineer to be part of Water business. The role will be working with Lead ICA, to perform: 

  • Prepare instrumentation and control content of P&ID’s; Use P&ID drawings to design and select proper instrumentation and control components;

  • Develop control system architecture, i/o wiring, loop, network, layout and other drawings;

  • With guidance from Principal/ Senior ICA engineer, review and understand ICA scope, BIM, specifications and drawings for all ICA works from client briefs that are specific for the project;

  • Liaise and coordinate relevant technical issues with other disciplines;

  • Ensure that consistent quality standards and conformance with design plans/ specifications are maintained across the project and coordination with Principal/ Senior ICA engineer to ensure consistency across the project;

  • Attend and take records of meetings, discussions and liaison with clients, contractors, vendors and provide input into technical discussions;

  • Write technical reports and specifications including control narratives and functional descriptions for control systems; 

  • Support site supervision and plant commissioning activities when required

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess: 

  • Electrical, Electronics, or other relevant engineering degree and 5-6 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of instrumentation, control and automation detailed design experience; Experience in large infrastructure projects in Singapore is crucial

  • Minimum basic understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), network architecture design, process instrumentation, some experience in the design and implementation of Ethernet based networks. Basic understanding and exposure in digitalisation and cybersecurity in OT environment will be an added advantage;  

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills, be able to think logically and write technical documents with clarity

  • Experience working on PUB Projects will be an added advantage
