Our Water Team provides specialist consulting services across a diverse range of water resources projects. Our projects include hydrologic and hydraulic assessment for linear transport infrastructure, urban development, dams and other developments. Floodplain risk management studies and plans and the development of flood management options including storm water infrastructure design/management and water sensitive urban design.

An exciting opportunity exists within our Water Team for a Flood Modeller. As a Flood Modeller, you will be responsible for undertaking hydrological, hydraulic investigations on a range of high profile and interesting projects utilising the latest and leading-edge technologies.

On a day-to-day basis this role will involve formulation of flood models and preparation of quality technical reports for a variety of flooding investigations. You will also conduct detailed analysis and reviews of available data including hydrological and hydraulic models. You will provide specialist advice to team members and clients and establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients. The role offers opportunities to project manage flood studies and to lead flooding assessments for major infrastructure projects.

 Here's What You'll Need:

Preferably bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or equivalent

  • With 15 to 20 years of relevant work experience

  • Must be proficient with TUFLOW or similar resources (XP-RAFTS and DRAINS)

  • Experience in GIS systems (preferably, MapInfo and ArcMap)

  • Exposure to HEC-RAS, MIKE, MUSIC, RORB, 12d and CAD are preferred but not essential
