Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer IV

Job summary

Has a meaningful understanding of the job while working on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgement in resolving issues or making recommendations. Focus is on moderately difficult tasks, using substantial understanding of standard operating procedure. Supports the overall team.

Responsibilities

  • Facility/Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Performs site inspections and monitors the building and Data Centers alarms

  • Performs preventive maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or handles vendors

  • Leads repairs and corrective maintenance

  • Advises other team members on repairs and preventative maintenance

  • Leads and coordinates critical infrastructure operations Site Administration

  • Completion of site logs and issuing of permits, such as MOPs and scripts Incident Management · Instructs on-site staff during incidents Work Orders

  • Leads others with work requests and circuit installations

  • Performs capacity management Collaboration

  • Identifies and understands underlying issues probes the facts

  • Can identify component level faults and provide recommendations for new procedures

  • Utilizes resources outside of the department as vital Additional Projects

  • Leads infrastructure project activities

  • May recommend infrastructure projects

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a facilities engineering role preferred

  • Higher Nitec in an Engineering Field at a minimum preferred
