As Civil Inspector you are expected to perform inspection and quality of marine works including dredging works, marine structures such as Pile decks, revetments, breakwaters, beaches and other marine protection structures and general marine works construction within the marine environment.

Report to and support the Assistant Resident Engineer in supervising the contractor’s daily activities, monitoring and reporting on progress, quality and safety by undertaking inspections and documenting your findings to ensure that the work is being built in accordance with the drawings and specification (Contract).

Make the Resident Engineer aware of any defects or deficiencies that you observe. Respond to Contractors inspection notifications. Monitoring of progress and quality. Complete inspection reports. Complete a daily diary and record contractors progress and resources.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Preferably Professional Civil Engineer or relevant recognised technical qualification, Associates Degree or at least Diploma level (or equivalent) as a minimum educational qualification

You need to have Marine construction experience including Pile jetty, rock revetments, dredging, minimum buildings and coastal marine works with minimum of 7 years relevant experience
