Main duties: 

  • Assisting technical lead on projects involving hydrology and hydraulic modeling including flood mapping studies, surface water management plans, flood strategies and other flood management projects.

  • Actively participate in the development of hydraulic models under the supervision of a senior modeller

  • Undertaking hydraulic model optioneering and developing solutions.

  • Process and analyze modeling outputs using GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo and/or ArcGIS)

  • Identify and pursue/contribute to business development opportunities

  • Comply with Jacobs and Client safety practices

  • Projects completed on schedule and on budget.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To be a successful candidate you shall possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience within water industry

  • Experience in implementing 1D and 2D modeling techniques for the river, urban drainage, water supply, and sewerage system applications

  • Experience in using modeling software: Flood Modeller, TUFLOW and Infoworks ICM, Bentley SewerGEMS etc 

  • GIS software such as Mapinfo/ArcGIS/QGIS

  • Knowledge in hydraulics, hydrology and/or water resources with analytical skills

  • Ability in rainfall, hydrology, or hydraulic analysis
