  • Manage cross-border employment issues and collaborate with the employment team on global projects.

  • Work with local counsel to establish employment foundation in new jurisdictions as we expand globally.

  • Manage employment-related projects, including process reviews and the creation, implementation, and continual improvement of policies and procedures.

  • Create and update training programs on various employment law topics.

  • Monitor employment law-related legislation, regulations, legal developments, and government oversight activities that may affect the Company in APAC.

  • Advise on employment-related privacy issues, including APAC privacy laws and other applicable laws and regulations.

  • 7-10 years of employment law experience working for an internationally/nationally recognized firm or in combination with inhouse experience required in APAC.

  • Law degree from  an accredited law school.

  • Admitted to practice in Australia, Singapore, or Hong Kong or the ability to register as In-House Counsel in one of those jurisdictions.

  • Experience working on cross-border and international employment law matters.

  • Able to work with teams of international local counsel to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exhibit excellent judgement, superior leadership, and strong problem-solving skills, and can proactively spot risk and deliver creative solutions.

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to build relationships across various teams and functions.

  • Effective communicator who can explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers and provide practical legal advice.
