Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist
Job Summary
Build and implement detailed disaster recovery plans for crucial infrastructure components and critical applications. Fortify the resilience of our critical systems and operations. A confirmed background in disaster recovery planning, risk management, and cybersecurity is critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
As the Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist,
Responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans for infrastructure components and critical applications to ensure the resilience of our critical systems and operations
Own the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the rapid recovery of critical systems, infrastructure, and data
Demonstrable ability to coordinate sophisticated integrated disaster recovery exercises
Coordinates with various information technology and business groups to identify critical systems and dependencies, and the potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in catastrophic impact
Generate regular reports on the organization's disaster recovery capabilities and security posture for executive leadership and collaborators
Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuity
Conduct detailed Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis
Develop resilience reports that identify gaps and recommendations from Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis
Maintains knowledge on the current and emerging developments/trends for IT Disaster Recovery technology and resilience solutions
Collaborate with technical engineering teams to understand the evolving architectures to plan, design and test the resilience solutions
Review and provide recommendations for departments Technology Disaster recovery Plans and Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans
Develop and maintain Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans for the department and each division
Review the completeness of technology recovery plans and procedures for critical technology systems and applications for completeness
Design, plan, coordinate and implement technology resilience test/exercise with recovery teams for all critical technology systems and applications
Support natural, human-caused, and technology disaster/emergencies during the activations of the Emergency Operations Center/Department Operation Center
Qualifications
7+ years experience
Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred
Industry certification(s) preferred
