​DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is actively seeking highly experienced and motivated technologists who possess a rare combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. In the role of Senior Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with some of the world's largest automotive OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers, as well as various AWS teams and sales, to design and implement highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. These architectures will address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

Global Engagement: You should enjoy working with large, global customers and have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse set of enterprise customers.

Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the automotive industry and large-scale computing solutions is crucial.


Key job responsibilities
Your core responsibilities as a Senior Solutions Architect will include:

Customer Collaboration: Collaborate directly with customers to accelerate their business objectives and offer best-practice cloud architectures aligned with their long-term needs.

Technical Expertise: Engage in in-depth technical discussions with customers to tackle complex challenges and create scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.

Project Ownership: Take charge of customer engagements, ensuring well-defined objectives and success criteria.

Business Alignment: Work from the customer's business requirements to expedite the adoption of the most suitable AWS technology.

Strategy Development: Define and execute a strategy by involving highly technical teams such as Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants, and consulting/managed services partners.

Thought Leadership: Act as a thought leader within the broader community, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing thought leadership pieces, and hosting workshops.

Customer Advocacy: Relay the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap for new AWS features and services, proactively guiding the platform's evolution.

Team Contribution: Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, influencing decision-makers across various domains to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform that align with long-term business objectives.


A day in the life
In your role as a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for managing the technical relationship between customers and AWS. You'll make recommendations related to security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. This will involve understanding customer business needs and providing guidance on how to leverage technology for business value. You'll collaborate with various teams, including account management, professional services, support, product teams, and the AWS partner ecosystem.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Preferred qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
