Job Description

This position will be part of the DuPont Logistics team that is being separated from DuPont in 2021 as part of the overall DuPont merger of the Nutrition and Biosciences business unit (N&B) with International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF).  Position will lead import and export compliance programs and operations for China and several other regional countries. The goal is full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures in efficient and effective manner, ensuring on-time delivery to meet business needs.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand N&B Business VOC, spend and develop Logistics capability to meet business need
  • Implement trade compliance programs and import and export operations
  • Oversee and communicate regulatory changes with the development of best practices
  • Provide overall guidance and training to the N&B business, and help them to meet regulatory requirements in doing business
  • Lead disciplined import and export operations by using right systems and processes, and conduct self-audit programs
  • Monitor, track and report compliance metrics and issues, leading improvement actions
  • Manage 3rd party logistics companies with the establishment of the process of ensuring quality and professional services
  • Drive cost savings, especially in customs duty savings from FTAs, duty incentive and other programs
  • Drive continuous process improvement by working with suppliers and internal customers
  • Represent country compliance team, and act as a focal person for regional and global compliance networks
  • Remain first point of contact at local level for solving operation disputes, identify root causes and set up action plan by working with external suppliers and internal customers


  • Strong knowledge of local, international trading, and import and export regulations
  • Leadership, team work and high ethical standards
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5-10 year of experience in import and export operations preferred
  • Presentation skills for training and influencing others
