Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. 

About People Transformation and Planning (PTP)

We enable our T&O People to be Awesome, through a range of data-driven programmes and initiatives focused on the development, engagement and wellbeing of our people. Our portfolio includes Learning and Development, Engagement, Cultural Change, Transformational Leadership,  Data & Insights and Ops COO Financial Management.

Job Purpose

To develop and lead a team of change-makers who can drive multiple people programmes aligned with the Group HR agenda whilst realising the T&O leadership’s vision.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • In partnership with PTP Head, conceptualise, develop and deliver a people strategy focused on the development, engagement and well-being for our T&O people.
  • Strike a fine balance of alignment across all units and markets whilst enabling autonomy for execution.
  • Work closely with senior business stakeholders to ensure the programme objectives and deliverables align fully to the overarching business strategy.

Execution

  • Design, develop and roll out programmes that bring to life the people strategy
  • Manage conflicting priorities from various stakeholders impacting the programmes and drive towards win-win situations that move the projects forward
  • Drive and manage T&O-wide councils as necessary to execute programs and drive toward one direction i.e. Engagement Council, Learning Council
  • Design and facilitate workshops that bring alignment and action to multiple stakeholders
  • Design and build dashboard to track progress and generate transparency across all the pieces of work as well as to facilitate decision making.
  • Design and roll out change management interventions to ensure projects move in the right direction
  • Manages overarching communication across all programmes to ensure consistency in the narrative
  • Create connectivity across projects/programmes inside PTP, Ops COO, T&O or other areas of the bank
  • Works in partnership with other Ops COO teams to deliver on x-functional projects / events (like T&O Open, Leadership Conference, etc)
  • Identify key metrics that will demonstrate the success of the programmes and measures the progress
  • Manage budget allocation and oversee engagement and management of  external vendors /consulting service providers
  • Present periodic updates to the relevant stakeholders
  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships in HR and across T&O

People

  • Develop and nurture a team of unique individuals at various levels and with diversity of skills through formal learning, OJT, coaching & stretched assignments
  • Manage work allocation, deconflicting of priorities and remove blockers
  • Frequently revisit team’s R&R to align work with team members’ strengths and interests
  • Identify and raise risks and issues to the programme(s) deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at 15+ years of experience Business, Learning and Development, Human Resources. Background in IT, Banking & Financial services would be beneficial
