Why This Role
The role is based in Penang, Malaysia.As the ideal candidate, you will design and deliver innovative specialized IPs to support new business opportunities and future growth.
What You Will Do
Generate designs that:
meet objective specifications
complete within project schedule
fully functional on first silicon
Work with:
layout engineers on optimization and verification, including the layout signed-off before tapeout
Test and Product Engineers on silicon debug, validation, characterization and qualification.
customer to solve technical issue
TSO, SBU, AM & FAE to define new IP and new project, including the signed-off preliminary spec with customer.
TD, FAB, PE & CE in the yield enhancement activities and identify design weakness on customer products
Generate:
design specifications for new IP
test specifications for Test Engineers to develop test hardware and programs
final customer-ready validation/characterization reports
Provide
mentoring to more junior Design Engineers
leadership in improving design methods and procedures
technical advice to customer on how to use our IP
technical advice and leadership to the design community
What You Will Need
Bachelor / Master's degree (or higher) in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
15+ years of circuit design, synthesis and P&R experience as the plus.
In-depth mastery of CMOS technologies, design rules, Spice models, circuit and logic simulation, layout verification, silicon debug, validation, characterization and qualification.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, and a team player.
Good work ethics.
