Market Analytics & Insights Team Description: The Market Analytics & Insights team (MAI) plays an important and influential role in the strategic direction and ongoing management of Equinix. The team identifies high-value opportunities, addresses critical challenges, and transforms mission-critical operations.  The key insights developed are delivered to key decision makers in timely presentations, analytical tools and detailed analyses about our markets, customers and competitors.  In particular, the MAI team is responsible for performing market and competitive intelligence, identifying key market trends, quantifying addressable market opportunities, analyzing business performance and formulating compelling stories with data to drive changes in behavior and gain buy-in.  This is a highly visible team that regularly speaks with, and presents to, the company’s senior management team.

Asia-Pacific Lead Sr. Manager Description: The Asia-Pacific Lead Sr. Manager is a specialized role who should be able to find insights in large datasets, synthesize and communicate the results in compelling presentations and written works.  Additionally, the individual should have strong Excel / PowerPoint skills, and have an ability to organize complex topics into easily digestible story lines.  Overall, we are looking for someone with strong analytical horsepower, who is looking for progressive responsibility on a dynamic team, able to establish good working relationships with peers and with stakeholders, and is proactive in pushing projects forward.  We have a preference, but not a requirement, for them to have some existing knowledge of the colocation industry, particularly in Asia, including the main competitors, secular drivers and business trends.


  • Build and develop enablement tools for sales / marketing personnel to be able to quickly gain a strong understanding of our competitors and market movements; you will become the source for industry and competitor information in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Provide rapid response and insightful strategic competitive analyses based on changing market dynamics and competitor strategies
  • Establish good working relationships with stakeholders, understand and anticipate business needs and design / implement solutions to meet these needs
  • Suggest and track industry trends, competitor activities / strategies and key competitor performance metrics that can support sales and business activities in the region
  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of available resources, and effectively collaborate with partners
  • Write in-depth analyses to be distributed internally to executive management on industry trends and competitor actions
  • Understand Equinix’s current and emerging competitive threats and how to address them, from sales, marketing, and product perspective
  • Stay abreast of data insights coming from other teams at Equinix - connecting the dots across disparate analyses and synthesizing them into a coherent story
  • Broaden the team’s impact from headquarters to the field
  • Some travel required <10%


  • Strong communicator with the ability to distill analysis, crystalize insights and make recommendations based on analysis in both visual and oral forms
  • Past experience presenting to technical and business audiences
  • Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and maintain strong team relationships, including with external partners
  • Portfolio of written reports demonstrating technical writing skills and analytical abilities
  • Passion for learning - self-motivated and curious, asking clarifying questions to research issues, business needs, and underlying processes
  • Proactive and positive team member who takes the initiative on next steps
  • Detail oriented with ability to independently validate / triangulate data and analysis
  • Solid PowerPoint and Excel skills, experience in using Tableau is ideal but not necessary
  • Strong preference for a person with business acumens and  knowledge of the data center or the IT industry
  • 8+ years of experience monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data
  • Bachelor required, Masters preferred
