We, Jacobs partner with public and private sector clients to research and understand environmental impacts for their infrastructure projects and investments. In addition, we work with clients to provide environment and planning expertise across the full lifecycle of their projects
As Senior Consultant, Environmental Planning (EIA), you will be a liaison with clients, develop technical and commercial proposals for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Management Plan (EMP) as well as relevant consultation, planning & permitting services. You are expected to lead project and follow through after project awards.
When needs arise, you will also participate in our multidisciplinary team offering feasibility studies, design service, overseeing consultant service or other strategic services in various sectors e.g. infrastructure, transport, power, data center & digital solutions, industrial, water, and influencing skills in bringing out the best in a person or others. You will contribute in environmental aspects and support the integration of environmental considerations into the projects’ decision-making process.
Your direction, technical strength and network will be a plus for capacity forming within the company. Based on your experience, knowledge and mobility, your participation in projects within South East Asia e.g. Singapore is expected.
As Senior Consultant, Environmental Planning (EIA), for Jacobs Engineering Group in Malaysia, you will be reporting to the Environmental Services Section Malaysia Lead and working together other internal stakeholders. You are a mature environmental professional with motivation and capable of working with people of different levels. You understand and appreciate how creative technical contributions fit into the bigger picture and support internal and external clients with holistic solutions.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
You will possess the following;
- Registration with Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE) as EIA Consultant
- With a Bachelor's degree or a higher equivalent qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, science, or related studies with a good number of relevant years of experience, preferably in projects related to renewable energies, rail, and other transportation modes.
- You will strive to improve the environmental performance and culture of our project through close collaboration and forward planning with our team.
- You will embrace health and safety as part of the work culture. You’d have already demonstrated your potential in critical thinking and solving moderately complex problems.
