Acts as one of the project’s prime contacts with the Client for the group of contracts under management and is responsible for construction work progress and technical performance on the assigned construction contracts for the project.          Works closely with overall project and construction management leadership to ensure successful delivery of the project.  Works closely with overall construction and engineering management on coordination of inter / intra contract activities. 

Be responsible for safety aspects at site, implementing all the safety procedures and instructions issued.  Leads, manages, coordinates ad supervises the multi – disciplinary construction project site team through site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities, consistent with established project delivery processes to ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project scope in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents.  Onsite activities may include construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and field engineering.  Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that JACOBS’s HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met. 

Plays a role in the design coordination, tendering activities leading to the award of the contract. This typically includes tender document reviews / drafting, post tender evaluations, interviews, clarifications and meetings.  Ensure the construction activities of Contractors are executed in accordance to contractual and quality assurance requirements. Interfaces closely with the various Qualified Person(s) to ensure construction activities and works are in compliance with regulatory requirements.  Carry out construction contract management and administration in accordance with the PSSCOC. Interfacing and coordination with overall construction management and contract manager on contractual cost and time impacts.  Coordinate the works of different contractors and other contract packages in terms of working areas and timing, promoting frequent coordination meeting with Contractors. 

Verify and approve the physical progress reports prepared by Contractors and providing inputs to overall project reporting.  Monitor together with project control, BIM and planning discipline that the progress of Contractors as per project schedule.  Ensure that Contractors operate according to safety procedures.  Evaluate field changes/reworks to Contractor and estimate relevant impact on costs and schedule, and work with overall construction / project management on issuance of instructions.  Expedite arrival at site of materials that required for planned construction activities.  Ensure that all inspection and testing activities are done and registered in the forms as per QA procedures and issue the punch list before mechanical completion.  Evaluate the Contractors’ performance at the end of project.

 Here's What You'll Need:
 

Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.  Managing design and / or construction of large infrastructural projects of similar size and complexity.   Experience in used water / water treatment plant projects construction will be an added advantage.   Skilled in developing environmental health and safety culture and practice.  Able to manage multi-disciplinary construction teams.
