Why This Role

The role is based in Penang, Malaysia.As the ideal candidate, you will qualify incoming vendor IP kits (IO, standard cell, memory, AMS IP, etc) to provide quality Library/IP to customers. To follow up with IP vendor to resolve issues reported at QA in a proactive manner.

What You Will Do

Digital Specific:

  • Develop & maintain Exhaustive QA procedures for Library/IP Qualification with Customers as end users. Goal of IP Quality Team is to provide Bug Free Library/IP to customers.

  • Manage Verilog RTL coding & synthesis

  • Develop flow to configure, integrate & validate multiple types of IPs in system level

  • Validate IP testability as per the specification.

  • Qualify & maintain IPs and keep its QA Records

  • Work closely with the IP Vendor & Internal design Team to identify the Design kit issues

Analog Specific:

  • Develop & maintain Exhaustive QA procedures for Library/IP Qualification with Customers as end users. Goal of IP Quality Team is to provide Bug Free Library/IP to customers.

  • Qualify and maintain AMS/PHY, other complex IP and keep its QA Records.

  • Work closely with the IP Vendor & Internal design Team to identify the Design kit issues

  • Support for IP silicon validation and debugging failures

  • Support additional requests from Field / Customer Support on IPs failing on Customer side or if such information is needed to address the customer needs.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor/master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 8 years working experience in IC design field

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Well organized and work well within a team environment

  • Good work ethics.

  • Positive attitude.

For Digital Specific

  • Proficient in system verilog/verilog language and simulation verification experience

  • Knowledge of verification methodology development for complex circuits

  • Knowledge of DFT/scan insertion/atpg/functional test vector is a must

  • Hands on experience in industry standard CAD tools

For Analog Specific

  • Experience in PHY co-sim (RTL+spice Sim) by providing Verilog test bench and helping debug in Cadence co-sim environment for validating the third party IP.

  • Exposure  in PHY digital portion using standard CMOS ASIC flow

  • Knowledge in designing digital circuits for PHY protocols.

  • Knowledge in Tetramax models and ATPG coverage

  • Knowledge in RF Design is a plus

  • Work on silicon debugging with the test engineering team in the lab

  • Knowledge of  PHY (MIPI D-PHY, HDMI PHY, SATA 3.0 PHY, PCIe 2.0 PHY, USB3.0 PHY, MIPI M-PHY, LVDS, DP PHY) architecture and SoC integration
