Introduction to the role

This is an Assistant Plant Accountant role that requires you to work across different DuPont manufacturing sites in Singapore. You will be working closely with plant team and provide on-site analytical cost insights. You will be the trust advisor on costing and controlling on plants’ financial. It is a plus if you are familiar with Free Trade Agreement. You are required to travel across different manufacturing sites for work. This is a yearly renewal contract. This role will be reporting to a Senior Plant Finance Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work closely with finance shared services team to provide financial reports and analysis to the business controllership
  • Monitor and control fixed and variable costs by working with cost stewards and conduct monthly financial reviews
  • Coordinate annual budgets and monthly outlook exercises
  • Provide Free Trade Agreement submission, including preparation of manufacturing cost statements; initial assessment of eligibility for new and transferred products or new markets; monthly monitoring of eligibility; liaise with Singapore Customs
  • Manage and monitor inventory from the aspect of costing, monthly cycle count, annual stocktake, and inventory adjustments
  • Work on month-end accruals and provisions, reclasses, billing internal parties, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Provide cost simulation and benchmarking to support various strategic initiative
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and capital projects, such as ROI or IRR analysis and validation of savings
  • Provide guidance to plants on controls and compliance, SOX internal control activities
  • Work with Tax department on property tax
  • Support all merger and restructuring activities
  • Be the go-to person for all plant accountant matters, and provide finance support to commercial teams whenever requested

Your Experience & Competencies 

  • Minimally 4 years of accountancy experience
  • Degree in Accountancy with CPA qualification
  • Knowledge and skill in MS Excel is a must
  • Knowledge and skill in SAP is a great advantage
  • Must be willing and able to travel across all manufacturing plants
  • This is a yearly renewal contract role
