  • Work with senior management to establish objectives and coverage model for the Referral Partner, Agents and Reseller Partner Program in Japan.
  • Refine the current Partner Program to optimize the success of identifying and closing sales opportunities
  • Define and assist in the development of required support materials for the program
  • Measure and report success of program
  • Identify target Partners and help with recruitment and management working closely with Equinix Sales teams.
  • Develop the Referral Partner, Agents and Reseller Partner Program with a strong orientation toward impacting new business and new logos
  • Play the lead role of engaging partners in the program and motivating them to optimally support the identification and closing of sales opportunities
  • Identify potential partners (e.g. consultants) which are influential in the decision-making process and/or thought leadership of Equinix prospects
  • Understand the role which potential partners play in the decision-making process of Equinix prospects
  • Understand attitudes and motivators of partners toward making referrals/resale and otherwise becoming involved in the decision process of Equinix prospects (and the selling efforts of Equinix)
  • Work as the focal point to Global Alliance Partners and address Equinix value in establishing close collaboration.
  • Connect Global Alliance Partners and Equinix Partners/Resellers and/or Account teams to define RTM and help developing GTM.


  • 5+ years marketing and/or sales experience
  • 2+ years sales or account management experience
  • 5+ years channel sales or channel program management experience with accountability for revenue targets
  • Proven ability to forge and manage business development relationships
  • Experience with technology infrastructure-related industry strongly desirable
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other internet applications
  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.com strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to implement action plans and meet goals
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Preferred Location in APAC is Tokyo, Japan
  • Native Japanese and Business level English capability
