As Environmental Officer you are expected to provide high level of support to the Project Manager and the project team in environmental site inspection and coordination relating to LNG terminal management activities and tasks.Responsible in assisting the Project Manager for the environmental works related to site inspection, supervision, facilitation and site management including construction planning, scheduling, field execution and administration. Responsible in writing and submission of daily site report/diary. Provide input to Weekly and Monthly report or in accordance to reporting requirement of the project. Coordinate to different project site teams on any site environmental related inspections. Responsible in conducting site inspection and to check if project is compliant with DENR and EIA standard requirements and other applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct inspection and daily monitoring of the drainage, siltation basins, silt curtains, discharge monitoring, wastewater, spills, hazardous materials storage, waste disposal, noise and other pollutants. Draft any necessary instructions for Contractor compliance (PM to issue).
You are also expected to provide support to Ongoing Gap Analysis. Provide review of Contractor Method Statements (Enviro section). Attend Jacobs/clients and Contractor’s meetings. Facilitate Contractor queries and provide technical guidance and expertise in project site construction issues, in consultation with Jacobs project management, on environmental concerns. Responsible in ensuring that Jacobs quality and safety standards are met and non-conforming standards are recognized to avoid site delays as per agreed project management schedule. Coordinate with other disciplines in project activities schedules. Responsible in monitoring the progress of work and recommend project management measures. Ensure project site activities are conducted in accordance with Beyond Zero and Jacobs HSE standards. Ensure project tasks assigned are being within budget and schedule. Assist in coordination with clients based on the project contract agreements with the project management. Comply with Jacobs (JPPI) code of conduct and other corporate guidelines and policies.
