We’re on the search for a proactive and experienced Security Delivery manager to join our team, supporting our team in Sydney or Melbourne

What will I be doing?
Contribution/Leadership

  • First line manager responsibilities associated with leading a group of IT professionals and meeting their HR management needs.
  • Facilitate the empowerment of staff in line with the IBM high performance culture.
  • Provide people with career opportunities within IBM for skill advancement and staff progression.
  • Transitioning new clients’ technologies into Security and negotiating service delivery agreements within the security tower.
  • Exhibit leadership in security and perform decision making at a functional business unit level

Impact on Business

  • Implement IBM’s business strategies, priorities and initiatives.
  • Apply project management techniques according to the IBM project management methodologies.
  • Transitioning new client’s technologies into Security and negotiating service delivery agreements within the security tower.
  • Develop Internal Customer relationships & develop relationships with IBM executives and influencers.
  • Manage the delivery of services to the agreed internal interlocks with the account teams.

Logical Security and Security Administration

  • Providing input into IBM Security strategies.
  • Follow Security guidelines in regards to services provided to internal clients and customers.
  • Add value to security services provided to internal clients and customers.
  • Implement security programs and IBM’s Business Strategies, Priorities, & Initiatives.
  • Manage security incidents to a successful outcome in line with IBM security guidelines and the clients business needs.
  • Advise IBM cross tower management regarding security practices

Infrastructure & Endpoint Service line responsibilities

  • Sound knowledge of Malware Defence softwares (McAfee, Symantec, Carbon Black, Trend Micro and Crowdstrike) as well as Security Gateway tools (device and application support) – Forcepoint, FireEye and Symantec Email Gateway
  • Management of Intrusion Detection & Prevention tools – Juniper, Site Protector, McAfee Network Security Platform, Palo Alto and/or Network Firewall devices (Fortinet, Checkpoint or F5)
  • Review and discuss Detail Design and Scope of Service requests with key stakeholders for the implementation of Security services, particularly with Malware defence & Gateway Security technologies.
  • Approve access requests to Security infrastructure across service lines.
  • Perform security validations of userids using Global Tools.
  • Re-validate Compliance triggers, Patching and audit requests as required.
  • Oversee monthly SLA metrics/reports prior to distribution to ensure validity and accuracy.
  • Regularly review security tasks performed by the team(s) and validate if inline to client’s needs and deliverables.
  • Review client’s security posture including EOL infrastructure with SME’s and provide feedback to the client in a timely manner and regular basis.
  • Work with Delivery SME’s to ensure team activities are actively managed, providing value add.

What skills and experience will I need?

  • Demonstrated experience in account governance, process improvement, crisis management and project management in IT Security (SIEM), firewalls/routers, proxies, endpoint security and privileged ID management; as well as IT Network
  • Understanding of security compliance procedures and regulations
  • Ability to consult with senior level management and act as a trusted advisor
  • Effective in dealing with customer escalations and facilitating problem solving

Preferred skills or experience that is helpful to have

  • At least 3 years’ experience in IT Security and consulting or client-facing roles
  • At least 3 years’ experience in crisis management
  • Certified in CISP, CISA, CISM or CCNP

The successful applicant must have the ability to work in Australia without the requirement of sponsorship and be willing to travel up to 25% annually.
