Water issues are becoming increasingly prominent as we struggle with disparity between water availability and demands, water pollution, and competition for limited water resources. At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges and our engineers, scientists, and planners are working together with clients to find the right solutions to their water challenges.

Our Water business is currently working on a very exciting project, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) across the island. We are seeking for a Customer Engagement Program (Planning) Lead to be part of the project team. 

This senior role is part of the AMI Demonstration Project leadership team and will be required to work with the Client Board, or the Board’s contractors, which may include a Public Relations Agency and AMI Contractors, to develop and oversee the Customer Engagement Programs. 

The main responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and customer communication plans, including but not limited to, public relations (PR) folder with step-by-step explanation of the work to be carried out, photographs of equipment to be brought to site, PR identification passes for the AMI contractor’s key personnel, as instructed by the Board.
  • Provide customer relations skills training to AMI contractor including the AMI contractor’s Public Relations Officers on communications and presentation skills, proper handling of public feedback, code of conduct, attire etc.;
  • Ensure all stakeholder feedback is incorporated into programme requirements definition for the development of customer application by the AMI contractor; and
  • Propose recommendations for improvements or enhancements on the portal and app based on customer feedback.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess a minimum Diploma or Degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in developing/overseeing Customer Engagement Programs. Direct experience in planning outreach programs for water projects involving residential and commercial customers is preferred given the nature of the project.
