About this opportunity:

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Category Manager to join our team. This role will provide leadership, operational, analytical, and administrative support to the business to enable JCI to execute its strategy and meet commercial and governance requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead & support strategic procurement events across all categories in Australia.
  • Deliver key procurement artefacts including procurement plan and sourcing strategies
  • Issue and manage back-to-back RFQ process
  • Identify and recommend best source ensuring it is consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical Fire, Security Systems, HVAC, BMS subcontract works
  • Monitor supplier performance.
  • Meet or exceed profit plan goals related to:  Cost Savings, TWC, quality, supplier rationalization, and other agreed objectives

What we are looking for:

  • BA or BS in Engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of related procurement experience 
  • Work experience in a Technology, Construction or FM environment is beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of the legal aspects of procurement and contract law.
