What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of  Sales Systems Engineers & Architects focused on key APJ Enterprise customers and focus vertical markets to meet or exceed sales bookings targets and other individual business objectives and metrics

  • Develop a high performance team tasked with developing a thought leadership position with key APJ Enterprise customers and vertically aligned industry segments

  • Provide individual thought leadership both within Cisco as well as to customers and partners on Cisco/industry technology strategy and direction

  • Partner with the APJ VP Enterprise Sales on GTM strategy development, account planning and customer/partner/industry engagement.

  • Lead Business Architecture within the APJ key vertical markets to focus on customer engagements and industry thought leadership

  • Lead analysis of architecture engagements through metrics and dissemination of best practices

  • Coordinate technical engagement of APJ Enterprise engineers/architects with theatre based Systems Engineering Directors across the region. Ensure smooth coordination of focus Enterprise account activities between APJ and theatre teams

  • Lead establishment and alignment of architectural communities to allow acceleration of sales through sharing of artifacts and best practices

  • Provide mentoring of field sales leaders on key technologies, solutions, platforms and customer engagement tactics/strategies

  • Demonstrate leadership and collaborate with cross functional teams globally, within APJ, and across the theatre teams

Who You Are

  • Highly experienced technologist and technical sales leader

  • Must have applied experience serving as a director or manager of solution, sales engineering, application, infrastructure, or enterprise architects

  • Expertise in consultative selling approaches and establishing credibility as trusted advisor by executives, architects, and industry personnel

  • You have strong ability to develop and execute sales strategy according to agreed-upon budgets, revenue targets and operating guidelines

  • Deep experience mapping technology and architectures to industry business imperatives across industry areas

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in an environment of high autonomy

  • Experience creating and communicating compelling messages to C-level executives, with an ability to bring to bear logic, experience, facts, and passion to influence others

  • Thorough understanding of cross-industry competitive landscapes, digital strategies, emerging technologies, and applicability to customer environments

  • Strong influencer and ability to work with other executives in the development of strategic direction and oversight of the organization

  • Ability to lead teams of diverse backgrounds to deliver quality results

  • Demonstrated leadership style which builds alliances and emphasizes high morale, effective team work and high professional standards

  • Ability to listen, establish relationships, gain consensus, establish credibility, and gain confidence of multiple partners across Cisco, Partners, and the Digital Transformation Group

  • Ability to balance organizational growth, team leadership, and customer management

  • Highly creative and team focus in a dynamic, fast paced, and changing environment

  • Strong communication and listening skills, a thorough approach to complex problem solving, and a high motivation towards setting goals and delivering time sensitive results

  • 15+ years industry experience or equivalent preferred

  • BA/BS degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred
