What will you do?

  • Establish and serve as a custodian of credit policies that follow customer service best practices while ensuring customers submit payments on time.  Propose timely revision to policies in tandem with business environment and business strategy.
  • Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with sales and marketing, finance, and executive team members to ensure the enforcement of policy. 
  • Manage exceptions of credit limit with established DOA (Delegation of Authority)
  • Develop procedures and models to determine recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
  • Lead the APAC credit team to fulfill timely and accurate performance of a full range of credit responsibilities,
    • New Customers’ Credit Assessment,
    • Period Review of Existing Customers
    • Thorough Review of Credit Hold / Releases
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance of customer master data in the ERP system and conduct regular compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate with internal and external legal resources in debt recovery efforts.
  • Coach to different stakeholders about methods to reduce credit risk of customers when needed.
  • Continuously seek out better ways of performing the processes and support process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance to applicable policies, SOX guidelines, and regulatory requirements

What we look for?

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Should possess expertise in reading and understanding of Company Financials (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statements) to determine health of the companies
  • Expertise with Credit tools and clear understanding of CRA (Credit Rating Agencies), Credit Ratings (D&B Ratings or similar), Payment Plan, Bank References, Trade References, Different types of Guarantees, Different Payment Terms, Group Credit Limit (Parent & Subsidiary Ownership) etc.
  • Depth knowledge of all the parameters which will help evaluating the credit worthiness of the customers. Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership of the company and challenge them when their proposals are not aligned with Credit recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
  • Good business acumen for problem solving, especially in project based industrial environment
  • Professional with 15+ years of experience in Credit.
  • At least 10 years of experience in people management
  • Minimum Graduate / Postgraduate / Master’s Degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Demonstrate leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively supervise, mentor and influence team
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written communication skills would be preferred
