Job Description

Job Summary
The Brokerage Implementation Supervisor analyzes customer solutions and actively participates in the successful solution implementation while meeting the needs of customers and the company. He/She is involved in implementation model development, deployment and plan definition, scheduling of implementation phases, communication, user acceptance training, project management, and reporting.
 
Job Duties
  • Implements Customized Customer Solutions
    • Performs analysis of detailed customer requirements to ensure compliance (i.e., imports and exports) with customs requirements.
    • Monitors new customer solutions to ensure reasonable care and supervision of the new customer occurs.
    • Writes client specific standard operating procedures to ensure proper management of the customer solution.
    • Reviews pricing and service strategies developed by Sales and Solutions to ensure accuracy.
  • Defines Project Scope
    •  Builds project charter and business case to identify single or multiple geographies, products, and services.
    • Develops plans to analyze the impacted operations location and to evaluate findings and compare current models.
    • Enlists stakeholders to define criteria and constraints associated with implementation scope.
    • Defines and creates the deployment strategy to ensure schedules and costs are aligned to the project plan.
    • Assists in defining resource needs, roles, and responsibilities to implement the scope of work and establish reporting structures, and executes the deployment strategies consistent with the stakeholder agreement.
  • Implements Scheduling and Communication
    • Builds the work breakdown structure and determines deployment order (e.g., location, customer, user group, etc.) to ensure the project plan is properly implemented.
    • Serves as a key contact to impacted parties, products, and services across the business to ensure an effective implementation.
    • Defines communication tools and identifies communication groups to build a communication plan.
    • Provides scheduled status reports and feedback forums to provide feedback and guidance to field operations and the contract negotiation team.
    • Manages issues and risks to ensure the stakeholder and sponsor-approved escalation and mitigation plans are followed.
    • Participates in contact reviews with legal and operations to ensure stakeholders are informed.
  • Develops and Conducts User Acceptance Training
    • Develops initial training to support field tests for the projects' products and processes.
    • Facilitates training (i.e., train the trainer) with user groups to ensure a clear understanding of project responsibilities.
    • Conducts focus meetings with users (i.e., internal and external customers) after the initial test to make modifications to products and processes.
    • Repeats test processes to address issues on additional project phases or in response to modifications.
  • Manages Deployment and Reporting
    • Controls completion of project deliverables to ensure they remain within the timeline.
    • Manages variances against project tasks (i.e., planned versus actual) to determine impact and contingency needs.
    • Gathers feedback from implementation efforts and post-production audits to ensure continuous improvement and create a control plan to ensure operational compliance.
    • Conducts surveys of users and impacted parties to identify improvements for implementation processes, future models, next site, groups, and customers.
  • Supervises and Develops Others
    • Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.
    • Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
    • Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.
    • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
    • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.   
Job requirements: -
  • Possess a Degree in any field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience, preferably with exposure in delivering a comprehensive service (including customer relationship building). You will also have at least 1 – 2 years of experience in project implementation and supply chain / customer fulfillment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively build relationships with individuals across all levels. Have the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently as they arise.
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.      
  • Familiar with international trades & custom requirements.
  • Highly motivated, excellent team player and has the ability to lead a team (providing professional guidance to junior employees).
