Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Key Account Manager for Water Solutions business based in Australia, who should be an expert in B2B sales with the ability to grow existing business as well as to explore new opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire DuPont Water Solution product portfolio and generate sales from the direct engineering company customers, end-users, and distributors in Australia and New Zealand market. This role is expected to cover a diversified water treatment market segments from desalination to food & beverage, mining, oil & gas, and industrial water treatment and reuse. This role also requires strong capabilities to work with cross-functional teams and to interact with customers in both commercial and technical regards. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain / develop customer relationship and partnership approach with strategic accounts

  • Achieve sales targets for each value centre and provide regular business forecast

  • Develop and implement key account plans, follow up and close projects with a combination of sales and technical capability

  • Manage and track projects and sales leads at any stage by using internal tools such as Datamart and Salesforce

  • Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to align regionally and globally on local market trends, growth plan, and day-to-day customer interaction

  • Promote full package of DuPont Water Solution products to key prospects and closely follow up on opportunities

  • Provide competent analysis, market research, competition assessment, and customers projects/business reviews

  • Identify value pools and unmet needs in the marketplace, recommend and support the related application programs to address such needs

  • Cooperate with DuPont Water Solution’s multi-functional and cross-cultural teams to provide strong support to the existing and potential customers to position DuPont Water Solution’s product portfolio


  • Min. 5 years business experience (sales, marketing, business development, technical service) in water solution.

  • Proven track record in B2B sales and ability to work under pressure in a highly dynamic and changing environment

  • Commercial and/or chemical or engineering education background

  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written; skilled negotiator, exceptional presenter

  • Ability to deal with both commodity and specialty sales

  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries and coordinate effectively
